Here: Now: Us

April 6, 2021April 11, 2021 Father Kevin catholic social teaching, here now us

“You are warmly invited to take part in Here: Now: Us – a programme to help lay people bring the Gospel and Catholic social teaching to life in the local community.

“It starts with ‘The Word and the Common Good’, a seven-session course on Zoom on Monday evenings starting 7 June 2021, where you will be able to meet fellow parishioners in small groups.

“It can then lead to a Saturday workshop to help the parish plan for mission after the pandemic.

“‘Open evenings’ are being held by Zoom at 7.00 pm on 13 and 26 April and 17 May. Any of these would be an opportunity to find out more about what the programme offers you and your parish.

“Further details are available in a recent edition of the diocesan Grapevine newsletter here: https://us8.campaign-archive.com/?u=8660f054ac5b3dc3f5fec2801&id=ac92dfe0b1

“If you’d like to know more, sign up below or email caritas@dioceseofnottingham.uk – we’d love to hear from you.”

About Saint Joseph’s, Derby

S. Joseph's Catholic parish was originally established in 1876 under Mgr. McKenna, long before the south of Derby was well-populated, and the church was served by priests coming from the city church at S. Mary's, Bridge gate. The present building was finished in 1985 and designed to complement the primary school facility on the hill and off the Mill Hill lane. This church and parish is part of the Catholic Diocese of Nottingham, currently led by its tenth bishop, the Right Reverend Monsignor Patrick McKinney.
