The Quiet Garden Movement –Sharing outdoor space for the inner journey
St Joseph’s parish has joined the Quiet Garden Movement.  This movement began in the Anglican Church around twenty five years ago. It is based on a rich tradition of contemplative prayer within the Catholic Church going back many centuries.
St Joseph’s has the facilities of both our beautiful garden and our church which act as both a context and a focus in which to share silence. We will begin with some small retreats for anyone who wishes to come and experience this form of prayer.  As recommended by one of the Quiet Garden patrons, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, we will begin with a gentle approach; we will begin in the church where help will be offered if needed.
The dates and times are :

  • Saturday 22nd July 9.30am – 12.30am
  • Saturday 12th August 9.30am- 12.30am
  • Friday, 8th September 6pm – 8.30pm
