Baptism
Our parish welcomes parents who
seek baptism for their child at  St Joseph’s.
Approximately every three months there
is preparation for the sacrament of
baptism for parents celebrating their
child’s baptism.
This takes place after the 10.15am Mass
on two Sundays and is conducted by
Lorraine Hay and myself.
1. Initial enquiry and request in writing

2. Home visit by Fr John Trenchard
3. Preparation for Baptism including
‘Welcome’ ceremony at Sunday Mass
4. Celebration of Baptism

Please note: if you do not live in
St Joseph's parish you will usually
need written permission of your own
parish priest.
 
                                                            
                 
Reconciliation
Confessions are on in the church every
Saturday between 6.00 - 6.20pm.

Fr John is also available at his weekly
parish surgery see current newsletter, 
and also at any time on request.

The parish also hosts a yearly
celebration of this Sacrament and
details  will be given in the weekly newsletter.


First Holy Communion
This has been arranged for
Saturday, 23rd June. 
Sessions will take place in
St Joseph’s School, 7pm to 8pm,
on Wednesday evenings.
The first session of this Programme
 (Getting Started) will take place on
Wednesday, 21st March.
Please take a leaflet available at the
back of the church for full details.

The date for Confirmation this year is
Monday 21st May. 
Preparation for confirmation candidates
will begin on Tuesday 6th March
Sessions will run from 7.30pm – 9pm. 
There will be an information session
for parents after 10.15am Mass on
Sunday 4th March

Confirmation is open to all young
people in Year 8 and above. 
For further information and for a registration form please collect from
the sacristy.
 
Marriage
Please give 6 months notice of
intention to marry at St Joseph’s.

Normally, at least one of the couple
getting married should live within the parish boundaries.

 Anointing of the Sick
Celebration of this Sacrament can take place in a person’s home or in hospital upon request. Please contact Fr John.
